Simone Giacomini

Simone Giacomini, born in Rome  (IT) , 1974

Studied piano in the conservatories of Rome, Latina and Frosinone and music and composition in the ACCADEMIA FILARMONICA of Bologna, department of movie sound-tracks.

He also plays guitar, electronics and sings. Since 1994, plays with many groups, bands and artists, working with contemporary music, rock, experimental music, movies and videos.

In 2007 he composed the music for the dance piece Breaking the Circle by Ezequiel Sanucci and  since June of the same year he starts a collaboration with Korzo Theater  in Den Haag, that leads him to work with choreographer Abdel Sarrokh for the piece Bleach and with theatre maker Mees Saskia (from Alba Theater) for the piece Jack. In 2008, starts to collaborate with visual/theatre maker Judith Nab (Theatre Espace) for the installation/piece All The People I Didn’t Meet.

He has also composed and played the music for Scarti, Anarchistas, Cruel, ZOO, Prayers, Kunikuli and Underground- Trilogia del Desiderio, of the choreographer Gabriella Maiorino and he is advisor for IOVIODIO.
