Marlene Vilhena

Marlene Vilhena, born in Faro (PT), 1977.

Graduated in Mathematics, had her dance studies at Forum Dança - Choreographic Research and Composition Course (Porto/PT), and SuperiorDanceSchool - Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon.

Danced among others, with Suzy Blok (Amsterdam), Lisa Masellis – QuaLiBò (Bari –Italy) and Antonio Pedro Lopes (Porto - Portugal).

She is a dancer in ZOO and in the solo Underground (Part III, Trilogia del Desiderio), by Gabriella Maiorino.  Also assists Gabriella Maiorino in production and choreography, having collaborated in the movement and choreographic research for the piece Kunikuli (Part II, Trilogia del Desiderio), and currently collaborates as choreographic assistant in IOVIODIO. Presently she is supported by dgARTES with the International Cultural and Artistic Internship program INOV-ART. Soon she will take part on the new creation of The Rite of Spring from the Portuguese choreographer Olga Roriz.
