ZOO
"Zoo shifted from circus to abattoir, via hospital, club and bedroom on the way, exploring the mucky relationship between man and beast... With vivid satire elevating the more commonplace shock value of its nudity and dark sexuality, Zoo merits a wider audience." Lucy Ribchester , January 07, Aerowaves, the Place Theatre, London

«Tonight we are the ZOO. We are the Monstrosity, the Provocation, the Beast, the Beauty, the Myth; We are the ones you love, the ones you dream of, the ones you fuck, you manipulate, you trample, you torture, you mutilate, swallow, digest, shit and throw away. Come along. Enjoy your ZOO. »

"With ZOO we celebrate the predominance of instinct and magic on the phenomenon we are able to understand and classify with appropriate categories and unambigous words. The animal, or our "wild side", is seen as an insult, the monster that appears in places where we don't expect it to be, or as perfection, in the form of the mythical animal - beautiful, proud, noble and powerful (the inverse of the dirty beast) - that is linked to superior forces or gods, in a relationship that we can only witness from our compromised point of view as humans. We also dwell upon the base elements in an animal's panorama, on the ones living, moving and crawling in the ground; the ones we trample, mutilate, torture, violate and rape due to our infinite fear of them, or fear of us mirroring them."
